Investors trying to keep the San Francisco Giants in the Bay Area will present a “very competitive” offer for the National League team by the end of the week, Mayor Frank Jordan said. Giant owner Bob Lurie announced in August that he had agreed to sell the team to Florida investors who intended to move the club to St. Petersburg’s Suncoast Dome. They reportedly are offering $115 million.
