CARSON : Robbery Suspect Killed by Pharmacy Owner
A would-be robber armed with a pellet gun was shot and killed by a Carson pharmacy owner in a confrontation outside the business, authorities said Friday.
Lamont Chatmon, 19, of Santa Ana died at the scene of Thursday night’s 10:15 shooting outside Dominguez Pharmacy, 20930 Bonita St., said sheriff’s spokesman Larry Mead.
Chatmon confronted the owner of the business, whose name was withheld, as he was leaving the pharmacy, Mead said. The pharmacy owner was not arrested. The case will be presented to the district attorney’s office for review, Mead said.
