BURBANK : More Allegations Face Talent Agent

Share

A Burbank talent agent facing sexual battery and other charges was rearrested Friday after more women told authorities they were attacked during modeling and acting interviews at his office, Burbank police said.

Wallace Kaye, 52, was at his storefront office on North Lima Street at Magnolia Boulevard when he was taken into custody at 3:45 p.m., Detective David Gabriel said. The agent was being held at Burbank police headquarters in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Gabriel said he would ask Deputy Dist. Atty. Mark Collier on Monday to file at least five to 10 new felony charges against Kaye.

About 25 women called police after they had heard or read about Kaye’s first arrest Wednesday. All had stories similar to those of the women who allege Kaye held them down and fondled them.

An undercover Glendale police officer who posed as an actress/model was among six women who were allegedly attacked by Kaye, leading to his first arrest. The five others were models and actresses who were either current or prospective clients of The Kaye Talent Agency, Collier said.

Kaye has been charged with four counts of sexual battery and two counts of false imprisonment. If convicted of those charges, he could receive up to eight years in prison, Collier said. His arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 22 in Burbank Municipal Court.
