Three Points Wasn’t Much to Kick About

First Gene Wojciechowski writes of a potential Kansas Big Eight championship the day they are beaten by California. Then he speculates on an undefeated UCLA season and a Washington Fiesta Bowl appearance.

Is he serious? I hope by now he has discovered that there are more teams in the Pac-10 than Washington and UCLA. Mr. Wojciechowski should know that a team that would be so gutless as to kick a field goal from the one-yard line, when down 23-0, to preserve a now-meaningless scoring streak is not the caliber of a Pac-10 champion.
