Natalie Moorhead; Had Role in Classic ‘Thin Man’ Film

Natalie Moorhead, a stage and motion picture actress who performed in such classic films as “The Thin Man,” has died at the age of 91.

Miss Moorhead died Tuesday at her home in the Santa Barbara suburb of Montecito where she had lived for many years.

She began her career on Broadway, appearing in George M. Cohan’s “Baby Cyclone” with Spencer Tracy in 1927.

In the 1930s she made 60 movies, most notably with William Powell in “The Thin Man” in 1934. She acted with such stars as Clark Gable, Buster Keaton, Mickey Rooney and Charles Boyer.

A widow, Miss Moorhead had married three times--to motion picture director Alan Crosland, Chicago park district President Robert J. Dunham and soccer champion and Spanish-language film star Juan G. Torena.

She is survived by a stepson, Alan Crosland of Palm Desert.
