MacLean Signs Long-Term Contract With Bullets
The Washington Bullets signed Don MacLean to a multiyear contract Tuesday. According to the Baltimore Sun, MacLean agreed to a six-year, $4.86-million deal.
The 6-foot-10, 22-year-old forward from UCLA was acquired with William Bedford from the Clippers earlier this month in exchange for forward John Williams. Bedford was cut Monday night.
MacLean, UCLA’s career scoring leader, was originally drafted by the Detroit Pistons as the 19th pick overall, but was traded on draft day along with Bedford to the Clippers for Olden Polynice and two draft choices.
