NASA’s Search for Life in Space

NASA, which is spending millions trying to find civilizations on other planets in our galaxy, may do well to recall Kurt Vonnegut’s speculation that if we find another culture it will be either less or more advanced than our own. If less advanced, we would have to send it food, medicines, and technology; if more advanced, they will simply send us their laundry.
