‘The Party’s Over’
If the Newport Beach City Council wants to end the problems in West Newport (“Officials Say the Party’s Over,” Oct. 10), then they should suggest to owners not to charge exorbitant prices on summer rentals, but charge reasonable fees for year-round dwellings.
Maybe then socially responsible young adults will be able to rent in this area, instead of the beer-guzzling, college illiterates the article portrayed.
