In a move that signals a growing emphasis on the Southern California market, George H. Link has been elected firm-wide managing partner of Brobeck, Phlegar & Harrison, the San Francisco-based law firm that is one of the state’s largest.
Link, who opened the Los Angeles office for the firm in 1977 and now serves as its managing partner, was selected as part of a change in the management structure of the firm.
Brobeck partners voted to create dual senior management positions of managing partner and chairman, a new position at the firm.
Current managing partner John W. Larson has been elected chairman of the firm. Larson, of the San Francisco office, will continue to serve as chief executive of Brobeck.
The changes will take effect February, 1993.
Link recently was instrumental in recruiting Mayor Tom Bradley to join the firm after completion of his term in 1993.
