LOS ANGELES : Man Gets 107 Years for Sexual Assaults of 3 Girls
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge on Friday sentenced the man known as the “schoolyard rapist” to 107 years in prison for sexual assaults against three teen-age girls in the Mid-City district last year, authorities said.
Judge Richard Neidorf sentenced Danny Brown, 27, of Los Angeles, who was convicted in September on 14 counts of kidnaping, rape, sodomy and lewd conduct. The attacks occurred in March and April of last year near Mt. Vernon Junior High School, where two of the youths were students.
Brown was arrested a week after the third incident, in which his victim escaped after he tried to assault her. She later saw him and called police.
