The story of American Legion Post 291 in Newport Beach brought forth a warm smile (“Taping Spurs Legal Action,” Oct. 16).
With the end of the Cold War and the dissolution of the Communist empire, how wonderful it is that these American warriors of the past can freely indulge themselves in nothing more serious than intramural bickering.
