Mayoral Race

With two people I like running for mayor, I first had a difficult time deciding who to support. When I discovered that the “good old boys” were running Susan Golding’s campaign, my decision was easy. Time after time as chair of the Advisory Board for the Air Pollution Control District I found the same “good old boys” halting important legislation to protect our health. When Golding was chair of the county supervisors, our proposed rules to slow down ozone depleters came to a halt as these same “boys” shook their fists and screamed and behind the scenes lobbied. Health considerations went out the door.

I appreciated Susan’s involvement with our tree planting projects, but that isn’t enough. Environmentalists know that Peter Navarro can bring economics and the environment together in a positive and very important direction for San Diego.
