Officers Fired on Again
Suspected gang members fired on a Los Angeles police patrol car south of downtown Sunday, the second such incident in two days, officers said. No one was hurt in Sunday’s shooting, but several bullets hit the car as it drove past an alley at 41st Place and Broadway at 8:10 p.m., Sgt. Eric Birkeland said.
Investigators believe the gang that fired on officers early Saturday in the same area was responsible for Sunday’s shooting. Birkeland said there was no apparent motive for the shootings. “They don’t care for us.”
