Making Things Right: The late Dalton Trumbo, one of the Hollywood Ten screenwriters blacklisted in the 1940s, was given official writing credit Tuesday by the Writers Guild of America for the screenplay to the 1949 film “Gun Crazy.” Trumbo shares the credit with MacKinlay Kantor, whose story for the Saturday Evening Post was the basis for the film. The WGA ruling was made at the request of Millard Kaufman (writer of “Raintree County” and “Bad Day at Black Rock”), who acted as a front for Trumbo and shared credit with Kantor.
