Walk a mile in his paws: The Walt Disney Co. denies a Spy magazine report that says the company has “relaxed its training-cum-hazing policy of very, very strongly suggesting that new executives spend a day sweating inside a Goofy or Donald Duck suit at one of its theme parks.”

Company policy remains unchanged: During their “Disney Way” orientation, new management types are required to don a costume and mingle with the crowds for 20 minutes.

And, we presume, if a hireling should later fail to work out as an exec, he or she will always have something to fall back on. . . .

Casting the candidates: We’ve mentioned that Hollywood, in one of its most imaginative moves, had tall, medium-eared Richard Crenna play diminutive Ross Perot in “On Wings of Eagles,” a movie about the escape of two Perot employees from Iran.

Retired Vice Adm. James B. Stockdale, Perot’s running mate, was also the subject of a movie, “In Love and War” (1987), which chronicled his experiences as a POW in Vietnam. In another unlikely casting choice, the superpatriotic Stockdale was portrayed by an actor who often plays eccentric or fringe characters, James Woods.

Bugs Bunny slept here: Phyllis Waggner of West Hollywood spotted a listing for a Pacific Palisades house that contains a clue that it was the home of the late Mel (“That’s All Folks”) Blanc, the voice of numerous cartoon characters.
