OXNARD : Man Arrested in Abduction of Girl
A Thousand Oaks man has been arrested on suspicion of armed kidnap and rape in the abduction of a 14-year-old Oxnard girl at a beach parking lot, police said Tuesday.
Raul Oscar Alamar, 29, was arrested Monday night in his home, where police found two handguns and a small amount of cocaine, said Oxnard Police Sgt. Charles Dunham. Police werestill searching Tuesday for a second suspect.
The girl and a 17-year-old male companion were in a parked car at the 2400 block of Mandalay Road in Oxnard at 12:30 a.m. Monday when they were confronted by two men, police said.
Police said the men held the teen-age boy at gunpoint and ordered the girl to get out of the car.
She was taken to a location that police would not disclose, where she was raped by both men, police said.
She was released four hours later and reported the crime to authorities. Her companion had already reported the abduction.
