Vote Out Incumbents
Especially in a time of recession, for public officials to secretly approve a large financial benefit package for top county leaders, members of the Board of Supervisors and other elected officers is appalling. This act only confirms my decision to vote against every incumbent on the ballot.
According to the L. A. Times article, the “perks” almost doubled their regular salary. This is money that is provided by taxpayers and to think we (the taxpayers) are not “privy” to their decision for added monies to be received is incredible--how dare they?
This is an additional strong reason for limitation of term of office for all elected officials.
