Downey : Council to Hold Hearing on Movie Theater Project
A public hearing on a proposed movie theater project will be held at the City Council meeting Nov. 10.
Downey officials have been negotiating for more than a year with Krikorian Premiere Theatres Inc. on a proposal for a 10- to 12-screen, 2,500-seat theater that officials hope will anchor the city’s downtown redevelopment.
The Planning Commission held hearings last month and approved a development agreement on the $9-million project.
