BURBANK : Schools to Discuss Homework Policy

Share

The Burbank Unified School District will discuss establishing a districtwide homework policy at its meeting today at 7 p.m.

The board will hear testimony from teachers and administrators on current homework policy, which is to leave homework decisions to individual teachers, said Supt. Arthur Pierce. Parents will be allowed to testify later in the meeting. There will be no votes on the issue tonight, Pierce said.

The board has expressed an interest in developing a coordinated homework policy for the district, Pierce said, so that students in the same grade at different schools would be getting about the same amount of homework.
