WEST LOS ANGELES : Man, 72, Shot to Death as He Parks Luxury Sedan

The 72-year-old operator of a downtown catering firm was fatally shot as he parked his luxury sedan in the gated underground garage of his West Los Angeles condo Wednesday night, police said.
With no witnesses and little evidence, detectives believe that Louis Weitzberg was either shot by an acquaintance or a would-be robber, Lt. Ronald Hall said Thursday.
“It does not appear to be a carjacking,” Hall said. “It was an expensive car and it was not taken. “
