Richard Ottaviano has been promoted to senior vice president of administration at AST Research in Irvine. Formerly vice president of human resources, Ottaviano will have expanded responsibilities that include development and implementation of a total corporate quality program. Ottaviano, who joined the computer company in 1990, was previously vice president of human resources and facilities for Xerox Corp. in El Segundo and corporate vice president of human resources for Cipher Data Products in San Diego.
