LEISURELY SALES: Homes in Laguna Hills’ Leisure World have long been sought by retirees across the nation. But right now the retirement community has a record 600 units on the market. The problem is not a drop in demand but the slow economy, says Ray Brock, president of a company that handles resales there. . . . “People want to move in, but they can’t sell their homes elsewhere,” he says. Brokers expect to sell 750 homes in Laguna Hills Leisure World this year, down almost half from their record year of 1,400 homes in 1989.
