Vulgarity Is Not Domain of Madonna

Re “Some Material Girl” (Topic A,” Oct. 26) about Madonna’s new book: Madonna espouses a belief that sex should be an uninhibited art form of endless self-expression and gratification.

Society has learned some very hard lessons that prove this philosophy just ain’t so.

Does this book tell us that Madonna is vulgar? No, we already knew that. What it points out is that too many of us are vulgar.
