MISSION VIEJO : Skateboard Bandit Grabs $4,000 Bracelet
A teen-ager on a skateboard snatched a $4,000 diamond bracelet from the wrist of a pedestrian over the weekend as the thief rode along Santa Margarita Parkway at Los Alisos Boulevard, the Sheriff’s Department said.
The victim, a 34-year-old Mission Viejo resident, told deputies she was walking along the street at 11 a.m. Saturday when the robber rode up from behind on a skateboard and grabbed her bracelet. The woman was not injured, and the robber made his getaway on the skateboard.
Deputies described the robber as being 17 to 19 years old, with a thin build and long brown hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans.
