Investigate County Perks
Regarding the perks given to Ventura County supervisors and department heads: County supervisors and department heads are normally paid on an annual basis, whether they work or not. No one keeps track of their time worked, vacation and sick time. A check of their time would probably show that they had taken vacation and their absences were not accounted for. In view of the fact that they are paid on an annual basis, any payment in excess of their salary is an illegal gift of public funds.
I believe an investigation by any outside party is justified.
