1989 Fetzer Cabernet Sauvignon “Barrel Select” ($11)-- This wine has excellent cherry/herbal fruit and a toasty note from aging in oak barrels. The aftertaste is dry and textured but not particularly tannic, and aeration improves it, indicating it will age nicely for a few years. An excellent wine that will be discounted in many areas to around $9. Quite a value.
