Beverly Hills : $10,000 Gift to Library
A $10,000 gift from Brig. Gen. David and Ludie Henley has been given to the Friends of the Beverly Hills Public Library.
Half of the donation will be used to expand the Beverly Hills library’s books-on-tape collection with a purchase of 125 new tape sets. The Friends also plan to use a portion of the donation to expand the Friends Bookstore, said store manager Ann Golenternek.
The Henley gift will allow the support group to install wall-to-wall shelving in a second room at the library for additional book sales..
The Friends bookstore will be dedicated to the memory of David Henley’s parents, Dorothy and Hobart Henley, longtime library supporters.
