Dirty Water
I think our oil spills are getting out of hand. In addition to oil spills, Mission Bay is filled with raw sewage and other toxic chemicals. This water harms the health of people and animals important to our environment. I recently went canoeing in Mission Bay and within 1 mile there were four sewage outlets. My classmates and I are very concerned with this growing problem.
I realize there is no money to clean our oceans and streams, but it has to be done. I don’t want to grow up with signs posted by the ocean saying that the water is contaminated. I think all of the ships going through San Diego Bay should have double hulls to prevent oil spills.
