Gun Control and Brady Bill

Regarding all of the glorying over the NRA’s decision to abandon the appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn California’s ban on the (over) 70 types of military-style assault weapons (Nov. 17):

As I understand it, there are more than 20,000 of these type weapons in the state. Of these less than 500 have been registered as prescribed by the law.

It sounds like the NRA decided it is pointless to challenge a law that is universally ignored.
