Glendora : Neighbors Oppose Split Lot
Two brothers’ dream to build companion homes was left in limbo after neighbors called for the denial of their request to split a 16,000-square-foot lot in two.
Dennis and David Phillips, who have owned the lot at 526 N. Vista Bonita Ave. for 3 1/2 years, appeared before the City Council on Tuesday for approval to create two lots, each with a frontage of 50 feet, which is 20 feet less than the minimum.
Many Vista Bonita residents said they opposed the split because it would create a precedent and there were no special circumstances justifying it.
The council voted to delay a decision until its Dec. 8 meeting so its staff could prepare a report.
