Perplexed Over Airport Stance

In reply to Don Schultz, those of us whose business requirements have located us at Van Nuys Airport, who work extremely hard to be good corporate neighbors, who go the extra mile to reduce our impact on the surrounding community, who have struggled through these economic times to keep our employees employed, who choose to pay property taxes for our aircraft here vs. other airport locations with lower tax rates and who have worked for years to reduce noise impact, take exception to Schultz’s comparing our airport with the deadly disease AIDS.

This appears to be another attempt to further alienate the airport operations and the community when, in fact, Schultz has worked hard to bring a realistic compromise to the community.

I am perplexed.
