South Pasadena : Adobe Named as Landmark

Share

A Spanish Colonial revival adobe home built in 1924 was designated as a local landmark by unanimous vote of the City Council last week.

The Adobe Eulalia Perez, at 517 Garfield Ave., was designed by architect Carlton Monroe Winslow at the request of the late Clara Eliot Noyes, a local pioneer who built several adobe structures in the city. It has been owned for 40 years by Noyes’ niece, Margaret Fay.

Fay, a former member of the city’s Cultural Heritage Commission, has spearheaded the nomination of several landmarks in South Pasadena.
