A Capitol Deal: Paul McCartney has renewed his contract with Capitol-EMI Records in a deal that Capitol President and CEO Hale Milgrim says will have him remain with the original home of the Beatles “basically for the rest of his recording career.” No terms were disclosed. A new single, “Hope of Deliverance,” will be released in January, with an album, “Off the Ground,” following in February. McCartney, in Los Angeles for the opening of a gallery show of wife Linda’s photos, previewed the album for Capitol staff members last week.
