Court Extends Current TV Rerun Regulations: A federal appeals court in Chicago has extended for 120 days new regulations governing the lucrative TV program market drawn up by the Federal Communications Commission last year. In November, the federal court tossed out the FCC’s new “financial interest and syndication rules,” calling the new regulations “arbitrary and capricious.” The court has asked the FCC to formulate new or modified rules or come up with a new justification for the regulations it drew up in 1991.
