Queen Elizabeth

It’s a neat thing that Queen Elizabeth has agreed to pay income taxes on her not modest holdings (Nov. 27). This does raise some rather unique problems for the Inland Revenue folks. What will constitute a legitimate “business expense”? The royal yacht Britannia with its crew of 250 together with her horse racing operation and other similar “costs of doing business” will probably constitute sufficient deductions so that the government owes her money. Will she make her tax return public like some of our recent presidents?
