Chrysler to Sell in Moscow: Chrysler Corp. will begin selling Jeeps, minivans and commercial vans in Russia this month, its first venture in the former Soviet Union. The No. 3 U.S. auto maker said that two dealers, Intourtrans and LogoVAZ, have been trained in servicing Chrysler vehicles and will begin selling immediately. Chrysler, which said it expects to sell 2,000 to 3,000 units in the first year, has no direct investment in the deal. Intourtrans and LogoVAZ both have access to hard currency and put up the money. General Motors Corp. uses Trinity Motors near Pushkin Square in Moscow as a distributor of Chevrolet, Pontiac and Cadillac cars. A second GM dealership opened in St. Petersburg last month. GM also has an Opel dealership in Moscow. Ford Motor Co. has eight joint venture retail dealerships throughout the Commonwealth of Independent States, three of them in Moscow.
