Ross Newhan suggested that trading away Jim Abbott was enough to put Angel fans on their knees. Well, as an Angel fan, I’ve been on my knees ever since they let Nolie, Frank and Andy go. Trading Carney Lansford was a nice kick to the groin, and letting Wally go was a swift kick in the face. We won’t even talk about Bryan Harvey. Trading talent for washed-up golden oldies is a way of life with the Angels.
