Gays in the Military

I must comment on the numerous statements in the paper and on the radio concerning gays in the military, exactly like the one in the Platform commentary (Dec. 10).

All these straight military men describe how uncomfortable they are with the thought that someone might “hit” on them.

What a worry. What would they do if the other person were always bigger and stronger? Like the way life is for women.

Gayness is not the issue. Perhaps it is vulnerability.
