SANTA ANA — Tokos Medical Corp., a leading provider of products and services to women threatened with premature childbirth, said Thursday that it has signed a contract with a Florida health maintenance organization.
Under the agreement with PCA Health Plans of Florida Inc., Tokos will provide “comprehensive and specialized obstetrical services” for about 4,000 pregnant women each year.
The women will participate in a prenatal screening program, which will teach them how to identify medical, social, lifestyle and behavioral problems that can complicate pregnancy and increase the risk of premature labor.
PCA Health Plans, headquartered in Miami, has 200,000 members in Florida and central Texas.
