Corcoran’s Plans: Art dealer James Corcoran will continue doing business at his Santa Monica gallery in March after he stops his exhibition program. Artworks will be on view and the gallery, at 1327 5th St., will be open to the public during regular hours, but the gallery will no longer present its distinctive one-man shows of works by well-known artists, Corcoran said. Rumors of the prestigious showcase’s closure began to circulate when Corcoran launched a new gallery in New York with collector Robert Mnuchin. Corcoran recently confirmed that he plans to discontinue his Santa Monica exhibitions but said he was uncertain about the gallery’s future. Now he has decided to keep the gallery open while revising its operation.
