Del Rey : 3 Arrested in Egg Throwing
Three teen-age boys were arrested this week after several Los Angeles firefighters were pelted with eggs on their way to what proved to be a bogus emergency call, authorities said.
Los Angeles police Lt. Wallace Graves said the incident occurred about 9 p.m. Monday near Inglewood and Culver boulevards. Investigators have not determined whether the youngsters placed the call, he said.
A firefighter apprehended one of the boys at the scene. The others were arrested by police a short time later, authorities said.
The youths, ages 15 to 17, were charged with throwing objects at a moving vehicle. They were in custody at Sylmar Juvenile Hall, police said.
