At Paula Roehrich’s home, Mrs. Claus is waving goodby to Santa in his sleigh.

At Bill Johnson’s home, there are soldier and lollipop figures made out of lights.

These Fountain Valley residents are among the winning entries of the 24th annual Christmas decorating contest, sponsored by the Women’s Division of the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Award-winning residents and business owners used innovative ways to light up their homes for Christmas, the judges said.

Residential winners include: Roehrich in the old-fashioned category; Johnson for lighting; the Fleeman family, theme; Joyce and Adolph Rissling, originality; the Weaver family, religious; Richard Rodriguez, traditional; Randy Foster and Roger Marini, rooftops.
