Immigration Controversy

Share

As the founder of an organization that has long protested the consequences of out-of-control immigration, in particular, illegal immigration, I wish I could shake hands with Ramos’ mother, who, unlike most Americans, has the courage of her convictions. And no qualms about offending those who disagree with her, even when the dissenters are members of her own family.

In his column, Ramos told readers of his mother’s adamant disapproval of illegal immigration. An opinion she adheres to even when confronted with the opposing opinions of her offspring who insist that as the daughter of an illegal immigrant herself, she should be more sensitive to their violation of our laws.

As long as people like Ramos’ mother refuse to be “brainwashed” by members of the media (no matter how closely related) into believing that “more is better,” we still have a hope of salvaging what’s left of a law-abiding Western civilization and can prevent it from becoming just another lawless Third World country.
