Pittsburgh Steeler reserve linebacker Levon Kirkland fractured his left wrist in practice, but should be able to play Jan. 9 in the Steelers’ first playoff game, the team said.

Kirkland, the team’s second-round draft choice last spring out of Clemson, will wear a cast while he plays.

Kirkland played in 16 regular-season games with 10 tackles, third-best among special-teams players.
