Publication Purchased: Freedom Newspapers Inc., publisher of the Orange County Register, announced Monday that it has bought the Orange and Los Angeles counties edition of Preview, a weekly entertainment guide, from South Coast Newspapers in Oceanside. The 2-year-old tabloid has a circulation of about 87,000 in south Orange County and 20,000 around Manhattan Beach and Torrance, Freedom Newspapers spokesman Michael Lednovich said. The entertainment guide is distributed free at newsstands and is delivered to some south Orange County homes. Another 9,000 copies of the guide are given out at Edwards Cinemas, Lednovich said. Freedom Newspapers is continuing to negotiate with South Coast Newspapers to buy the Daily Sun-Post in San Clemente, he said.
