DIVA: Soprano Deborah Voigt (OC Live!, Page 6), who will sing with Opera Pacific in “Il Trovatore,” says she has been “really blessed” with good teachers, starting in Placentia. Pat Fichner “was my first voice teacher and she was very classically oriented,” says Voigt. . . . Voigt’s husband, Dwight, was vocal music director at El Dorado High in Placentia when Voigt was a student there.
