Reggie Jackson says he can’t get a job in baseball despite his desire to work in a front office because he’s outspoken.
“When you have the name Reggie Jackson, you can’t be one of the crowd, no matter where you stand in line,” he said. “I’m always going to stand out. That doesn’t work in a lot of places. They don’t want a person who’s not going to be one of the crowd.”
“I’m sure that being black is part of it. I’m sure that being Reggie Jackson is part of it. I would like to have a job. The right one hasn’t come along.”
