JAL May Reduce Boeing Orders: Japan Airlines, which has been struggling along with the rest of the beleaguered industry, may scale down or slow down orders for planes placed earlier with Boeing Co. JAL plans to release a revised capital expenditure schedule next week as part of a “new corporate plan,” a spokesman said. JAL, one of Boeing’s biggest 747-400 customers, has lost more than $52 million in the last year and a half.
