SMALLER IS BETTER?: Unlike their counterparts at Los Angeles public TV station KCET Channel 28 (F5), employees at Orange County’s KOCE Channel 50 needn’t work longer days or worry about job-hunting in the near future. Fund raising is “right on target”--last month the station raised $127,498, nearly $15,000 more than last winter’s drive--so no cutbacks are planned, says KOCE President William A. Furniss. “We are staying small and growing very carefully.”
