Left-hander Craig Lefferts and first baseman-outfielder Gary Redus have agreed to contracts with the Texas Rangers.
Redus has a $1-million, two-year deal, Lefferts a one-year contract with an option for 1994.
Lefferts was 13-9 with a 3.69 ERA in 27 starts with the San Diego Padres last season, then went 1-3 and 4.09 in five starts with the Baltimore Orioles.
Redus batted .256 with three homers and 12 RBIs in 76 games. He started 31 games at first base and 12 in the outfield, and stole 11 bases in 15 attempts.
